Rodrigo Torres, nominated for PIPA 2011, presents “Sensor” at A Gentil Carioca Gallery.

The exhibition by Rodrigo Torres presents 10 works, including the installation. Paintings will be: 2 on canvas, one on photo, one on paper, 3 on wood and the installation that uses only a great photograph. All works use photography as a reference or as the plastic material itself.

Education Shirt

A Gentil Carioca holds the project “Education Shirt” since 2005. With each new opening, the gallery invites an artist to undertake a project for a shirt in which the word “education” is written. This edition will be the launch of Education-Shirt 44, by the artist Fabiano Araruna.

Book/Piece Launch “Entregue as moscas” by the Acidum Group

The book/piece “Entregue as moscas” is a publication created, edited and produced by Group Acidum. The book is a mosaic, a patchwork where it exposes a mix of images, texts, records of production of works, exhibitions and urban actions and partnerships with artists, and other experiments carried out by one of the most significant collectives in the Northeast of Brazil, in its first five-years phase of activity.
The work also includes poetic, curatorial and informative texts by names like Gerald Porter, Herbert Rolim, Jared Domício, Júnior Pimenta, Kennedy Saldanha, Luíza Interlenghi, Sérgio Franco and Uirá dos Reis.
