On view | Marcantonio Vilaça Prize Nominees’ exhibition

Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo University holds from today the group show of the 30 nominated artists to the 5th Marcantonio Vilaça Prize, with Bárbara Wagner, Berna Reale, Beto Shwafaty, Cinthia Marcelle, Daniel Acosta, Gê Orthof, Grupo EmpreZa, Jorge Menna Barreto, Lais Myrrha, Lia Chaia, Lourival Cuquinha, Mabe Bethônico, Marcelo Moscheta, Milton Marques, Otavio Schipper, OPAVIVARÁ!, Paulo Nazareth, Raquel Stolf, Reginaldo Pereira, Rodrigo Braga , Thiago Martins de Melo, Virginia de Medeiros and Waléria Américo.

The fifth edition of Marcantonio Vilaça Prize for Plastic Arts happens today at the Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo University (MAC USP), in São Paulo, Brazil, at 7:30pm. Besides a guided tour through the exhibition with curators, the winners will also be announced – five artists and two curators. An artist and a curator will be awarded with a residency at Manchester Metropolitan University. For the first time, Marcantonio Vilaça Prize will host a group exhibition with works by the 30 selected artists.

Artists who also take part in the show: Alvaro Seixas (RJ), Floriano Romano (RJ), Marco Paulo Rolla (MG), Nicolás Robbio (SP), Nydia Negromonte (MG) and Vitor Cesar (CE/SP).
