Luciana Magno was the winner of Pipa Online 2015 and, as part of the award, she attended an artistic residency programme for two months at Sacatar Institute, in Bahia. In this second interview, the artist talks about the project she developed during her stay in the programme and about her experience as a whole as the the residency comes to an end.
(Taipei, Taiwan) The winning artist will spend one month of their residency at Taipei Artist Village – Treasure Hill and one month at Bamboo Curtain Studio any time between January and June 2017. Artists can buy tickets on their own behalf. Anyone can buy tickets and nominate the artist/s of their choice.
(Milan, Italy) In the exhibition, found printed matter, texts, cultural objects and video, are arranged and intertwined through a multilevel display — a recurring method in the artist’s practice — where different narratives and materials gain new statuses, both as presences, narratives and representations.
