South-African gallery Blank Projects has undergone a lot of changes over this past year. After growing both in terms of programme and space – the gallery has just moved to a bigger place in Lewin Street –, they decided it was time to reflect on their past and, most importantly, on their future.
The result is “17”, which opened in their new address last Thursday, November 30th. The title evokes not only the year about to finish but also the number of artists who participate in the show. Conceived as a sort of summer salon exhibition, “17” displays works by all the 12 artists represented by the gallery, as well as five guests, Brazilian Pedro Wirz being one of them.
