The contemporary art organization Gasworks, based in London, UK, opened the application file for a Residency program at the institution for emerging Brazilian-based artists. The opportunity is fully funded and is due to be developed between 1 July and 16 September 2019.
Until 15 January 2019, the artists may apply through an online file to concur to 24-hour access to a fully accessible studio at Gasworks, alongside other visiting artists and Gasworks’ permanent studio holders; an Open Studio at Gasworks; Single room accommodation within Gasworks Residencies House; and other financial support.
To apply, it is crucial that the artist works with contemporary aesthetics, speaks English at least at a moderate level and who has never participated in a program in London will be prioritized. To fill in the self-led professional development, artistic exchange and experimentation, the artist needs to partially describe its main interests and practices, present part of its past works and outline some ideas to concrete in case of winning the Residency.
