Ana Miguel

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1962.
Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Ana Miguel started her trajectory as an engraver. From the 1980s on she creates three-dimensional works and installations. The artists also works in theatre, collaborating with Adriano and Fernando Guimarães’ productions of Samuel Beckett. Human relations, literature, the use of words, the upheaval of familiar meanings, the experience of feelings and affects constitute the core of her disturbing and sharply humorous body of work.
