About the artist

Julio Leite completed graduate studies at the Universidade Estadual da Paraíba in 2000, majoring in Communication. For the past two decades, he has dedicated himself to the visual arts. Leite served as subsitute professor at the Universidade Federal de Campina Grande from 2002-2005, guiding the research and development of projects in street art, video, photography, and new and experimental media.

In 2004, Leite founded and directed the site-specific Galeria Cilindro ( www.flickr.com/galeriacilindro ) in Campina Grande, a contemporary art venue circulating works by established Brazilian artists such as Guto Lacaz, Regina Silveira, Carmela Gross, Paulo Bruscky, and Vania Mignone, among others.
