About the artist

She graduated in Fine Arts from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado in 2003.She has been working with different media, moving through photography, video, performance, installation and urban interventions.
Some issues permeate her work, one of them refers to the perceptions and experiences of everyday life, as the permanent tension – culture versus nature, being part of a process of reflection on the way nature has been taken by the standards of the urban culture.
She is also interested in thinking and understand how the body answers to stimuli and disruptions of everyday life. Perceiving and responding to the external stimulation with the body. That is why its use is frequent in her work.

There are highlighted, among the solo exhibitions: in 2010, Anônimo at  Galeria Vermelho , São Paulo, Brazil; in 2009, Rodopio at  Centro Cultural Mariantonia, São Paulo, Brazil; in 2008, Baralhada at Galeria Vermelho, São Paulo, Brazil and in  2002, Experiências com o Corpo ( Experiences with the body), Instituto Tomie Othake, São Paulo, Brazil.

Among the group exhibitions: in 2011 she took part in Geração 00- A nova fotografia brasileira ( Generation 00 – The new Brazilian photography), Sesc Belenzinho, São Paulo, Brazil and Ordem e Progresso, Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, MAM SP, São Paulo, Brazil;  in 2009, Nova Arte Nova, CCBB- Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, São Paulo, Brazil;  in 2008, Parangolé- Fragmentos desde los noventa en España, Portugal y Brasil, Museo Patio Herreriano, Valladolid, Spain; in  2007 she took part in the  10th International Istambul Biennal, Istambul, Turkey and in the exhibition  Futuro do Presente at Instituto Itaú Cultural, São Paulo, Brazil.

She has been awarded with grants and residencies: in 2009 – CURRENTS – ART & MUSIC, Beijing, China; in 2005 – Bolsa Iberê Camargo /Bolsa para a Sala de Arte Publico Siqueiros e Galeria Garash, Mexico City, Mexico and in 2003 – the  Artist In Residence Programme- Cité des Arts, Paris, France.
