About the artist

In 2009, participated in 7 Bienal do Mercosul – Grito e Escuta, in the exhibition Desenho das Idéias with curatorship by Victoria Noortoorn, at Mostra Absurdo with curtorship by Laura Lima, at the Mostra Texto Público with curatorship by Artur Lescher and at Radiovisual with curatorship by Lenora de Barros.
He was awarded in December, 2010 with the Prêmio Interações Estéticas from Funarte with the work Sapatos Sonoros.

In 2008, participated in the exhibition “Nova Arte Nova”, with curatorship by Paulo Venancio Filho and in the group show “Arte e Música”with curatorship by Marisa Flórido and Luísa Duarte.He was awarded with the Bolsa de Estímulo as Artes Visuais from Funarte with the urban interventio project “Lugares e Instantes”; and with the Prêmio Projéteis de Arte Contemporânea with the performance “S.W.O.L, Sample Way of Life”, a fashion show with fake clothes bought at the flea market, presented with a live performance by rappers from the city’s periphery, then shown in the exhibition “Trajetórias em Processo”, at Galeria Anita Schwartz, with curatorship by Guilherme Bueno.

In 2007 he produced a performance with the sound backpack “Falante” awarded at the Salão de Abril, Fortaleza, and that also participated in the exhibition “Futuro do Presente” at Itaú Cultural, with curatorship by Agnaldo Farias and Cristiana Tejo.

He produced in many places around Brasil, the Rádio Aberta, a nomad radio, that has occupied for one week, with streaming broadcasts over the web and broadcast in FM, the OI Futuro’s building in Rio de Janeiro (Contemporâneo, 2006) with curatorship by Franz Manata and Fernando Cochiaralle.

In 2002, he produced the radio program “Oinusitado”, in Rádio Madame Satã, Lapa, a program of a carioca ( from Rio de Janeiro) radio-art performed by the guest artists.

His sound-art projects have already been broadcasted in Rádio Madame Satã FM, RJ,(2002-4), Radio WKCR, Columbia, NY(2004), Radio Student, Ljubljana, Slovenia (2006), Radio Ressonance FM, London (2008), Rádio Mec FM, RJ (2005-7).

He received a resident artist scholarship in 2000-2001 by Câmara Municipal of Porto, in the Program of Studios of Lada, Portugal.
