About the artist

Holding a fine arts bachelor’s degree from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Brazil), she works with several media, such as painting, sculpture, installation and video.

In 2011, she was awarded the PIPA Prize in two categories (official panel and popular vote), which granted her an exhibition at the Museu de Arte Moderna (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and a residence at Gasworks (London, UK).

In 2010, she took part in the 29th Bienal de São Paulo and received a scholarship by Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (Miami, USA). She held solo exhibitions at important institutions in Brazil and abroad, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art (Denver, USA), Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (Rio de Janeiro), Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa (Lisbon, Portugal), Museu de Arte Moderna (Salvador, Brazil), Capela do Morumbi (São Paulo, Brazil), Centro Universitário Maria Antonia (São Paulo) and Centro Cultural São Paulo (São Paulo).

In 2008, she entered the shortlist of five names for the Nam June Paik Award (Germany), and had works displayed at the Wallraf-Richartz Museum (Cologne, Germany).

In 2013, she was included among the 50 most collectible living artists, in a list published by the magazine Art+Auction (USA).
