Video produced by Matrioska Filmes exclusively for PIPA 2012:
Transitioning between drawing (graphic aspect) and painting (visual aspect), the works of Danielle Carcav deal with the relation of youth and the world from personal memories and/or appropriated images viewpoint. In the same way in which her images establish different narratives, defying the limits between real and fictitious, the colour in her works provide a dual function, between the creation of a pictorial space and the establishment of a psychological atmosphere, reinforcing a prevailing, introspective tone.
