Frederico Coelho

Frederico Coelho is a researcher, essayist and teacher of Brazilian Literature and Scenic Arts at PUC – Rio.
He was assistant curator at MAM-RJ between 2009 and 2011.
He participates as an associated researcher at the Studies in Literature and Music Nucleus (Núcleo de Estudos em Literatura e Música – NELIM) at PUC-Rio. He wrote articles for magazines and journals periodicals such as “Sibila”, “Estudos Históricos”, “Margens”, “Errática”, “Grumo”, “Revista de História da Biblioteca Nacional”, “Acervo”, “Cultura Brasileira Contemporânea”, “Ramona” and “Vogue”. Besides that, he published articles in collections about music, football soccer and behavior, and organized together with Santuza Naves and Tatiana Bacal, the book “MPB – Entrevistas” (Editor Edited by UFMG, 2005). He worked as a researcher and published an article in the catalog of the exhibition “Tropicalia – A Revolution in Brazilian Culture” (Cosac Naify, 2006).
In 2006, participated in the research and elaboration of the contents for the site www.tropicalia.com.br. He organized three books for the series “Encontros”, from Azougue Editorial: “Tropicália” with Sérgio Cohn (2008), “Tom Jobim” with Daniel Caetano (2011) and “Silviano Santiago” (2011).
Published the books “Museu de Arte Moderna – Arquitetura e Construção” (organizer, Cobogó, 2010), “Livro ou livro-me – os escritos babilônicos de Hélio Oiticica” (EdUERJ, 2010), “Eu, brasileiro, confesso minha culpa e meu pecado – cultura marginal no Brasil 1960/1970” (Civilização Brasileira, 2010) and “Pintura Brasileira Contemporânea” (organizer with Isabel Diegues, Cobogó, 2011).
