Malu Saddi, nominated for PIPA 2012, just had her page created here at the website. The artist was born in 1976, in São Paulo, SP, Brazil, where she still lives and works.

The artist, graduated from FAAP in São Paulo, in 2001, develops instalations projects and works from visual repertoire found in nature, reconfiguring it through a set of colored lines superimposed, videos, photos and sound works. Interested in the visceral charge of the human body, which coexists with organic forms in monumental drawings.

Afonso Tostes, nominated artist for PIPA 2012, just had his page created here at the website. The artist was born in 1965, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, and currently lives and works in Rio de Janeiro.

Student of Daniel Senise, Charles Watson and Carlos Zilio, at the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage, Alfonso began his research on the organic structural forms. Initially in painting, and later in sculpture, vertebrae, skulls, bones and joints were the objects of study that gained scaled representation in his work.

Nick Rands | New page

Nick Rands, nominated for PIPA 2012, was born in 1955, in England. He currently lives and works between Porto Alegre and London, and just had his page created here at the website.

He studied Fine Art at Reading University, and Art Education at Bristol University.He has taught art in England and Botswana and worked in Gallery Education in England. He was a Southern Arts – Brazil Exchange artist in 1992 and moved to Brazil in 1998. He moved back to London temporarily in 2007 and now divides his time between London and Porto Alegre.

Tatiana Stropp | New page

Tatiana Stropp, nominated for PIPA 2012, just had her page created here at the website. The artist was born in 1974, in Campinas, São Paulo, and currently lives and works in Curitiba, Paraná.

 

Tatiana Stropp has been creating paintings with oil paint on aluminum plates by using a seemingly simple procedure: color stripes made from a single stroke of the brush. The color palette results from the different stripes overlapping and/or juxtaposing both horizontally and vertically.

Alexandre Mazza | New Page

Nominated for PIPA 2012.
Alexandre Mazza or just Mazza, that’s how he signs his work, was born in the Paraná State and has been living in Rio de Janeiro for twenty-six years.


As a musician he worked during eighteen years as a bass player and composer. He participated in graphic design creations for music videos with the French Director Davi Bartex, and also worked with illumination conception for music concerts. At this moment, he started his relationship with the electricity and “LIGHT”.
