(Miami, USA) The art world’s most hyped fair of the year is just a week away from its opening day. Last year, Art Basel Miami attracted 73,000 visitors to the Miami Beach Convention Centre, and this year’s 14th edition will welcome 267 of the world’s leading modern and contemporary art galleries from 32 countries. 2014 was the year of Prêmio IP Capital Partners de Arte ( PIPA Art Prize) 5th edition.
We must say that we are very happy with all that has been achieved in all these years.
In 2014 international media highlighted Brazilian artists to be watched, and all of them were former PIPA finalists. Two of them will be representing Brazil at Venice Biennale 2015.
The 2014 exhibition at MAM was a huge success, with very good works showed by the finalists, crowning the work of Alice Miceli, elected PIPA 2014 winner by the audience and the Award Jury.
On the online category there were two winners Paulo Nimer Pjota elected by the jury and Diego de Santos was the most voted on the internet voting.

The artist participates in the show “Tropicalisms”, at the Gdansk City Gallery 2.
These are the last days to visit Regina de Paula’s individual, composed of videos, objects, photographs and paintings assembled in two groups that question the artist’s vision about certain notions of space.
The exhibition refers to memory and its representation, the form of a document, fiction, the past and present, locality and remote exoticism.
These are the last days to visit the exhibition “Place of Residence-with Artists from Brazil and China”, that brings PIPA nominated artists Alexandre Vogler, Mariana Manhães, Marina Rheingantz and Pablo Lobato.
Artist Regina de Paula presents the exhibition “Tratado Elementar de Arquitetura”(Elemental Treaty on Architecture), curated by Marcelo Campos, at the Mercedes Viegas Arte Contemporânea Gallery.
In “Place of Residence-with Artists from Brazil and China”, artists’ expressions through objects of everyday life embody the symbolic social and cultural significations that would provide open doors for the audience to read and understand contemporary art.
The exhibition, currently at the Gdansk City Gallery, brings PIPA nominated artist Jonathas de Andrade.
