ARCOlisboa opens its second edition tomorrow

(Lisbon, Portugal) Following the success of last years’ event, ARCOlisboa opened its second edition yesterday at the Fábrica Nacional de Cordoaria. Until Sunday, the event will be showcasing 58 galleries from 13 countries, and Brazil is one of them: four Brazilian galleries (three from São Paulo, one from Rio de Janeiro) are featured in the General Programme.

Mexican contemporary art fair Zona Maco takes place this week

(Mexico City, Mexico) One of the most important contemporary art fairs in Latin America, the 13th edition of Zona Maco goes until this Sunday, February 12th. Participate in the fair over 120 international galleries, mostly from Mexico City and New York—the São Paulo-based Galeria Vermelho is the only Brazilian gallery to take part in the fair, showcasing in its space the works of PIPA Prize 2010 and 2011 nominee Marcelo Cidade amongst others.

Art Basel Miami Beach | Sixteen Brazilian galleries participate in this year’s edition

(Miami, USA) As the end of year approaches, so does one of the art world’s favorite fairs: Art Basel Miami Beach starts next Thursday, December 1st. Reaching its fourteenth edition, the event gathers over 200 of the leading international modern and contemporary art galleries—amongst which 16 are Brazilian—distributed along nine different sectors. Moreover, this year’s edition features works produced by a number of PIPA Prize nominees, such as the finalists Cinthia Marcelle, Laercio Redondo and Wagner Malta Tavares.

Art Basel Miami Beach opens its 14th edition next week

(Miami, USA) The art world’s most hyped fair of the year is just a week away from its opening day. Last year, Art Basel Miami attracted 73,000 visitors to the Miami Beach Convention Centre, and this year’s 14th edition will welcome 267 of the world’s leading modern and contemporary art galleries from 32 countries.
