(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) “Sorria!”, group show that discusses contemporary painting from the point of view of 11 artists, reaches its end this Saturday, at Jacaranda, in Villa Aymoré. There is no reason for tears, however: the end of exhibition is also the occasion of an open talk with eight of the participating artists, followed by the exhibition of a mini-documentary about artists Marcos Chaves and Alice Miceli, PIPA Prize 2014 Winner.
(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) A technique often overlooked when juxtaposed with more up-to-date art practices, painting is the focus of “Sorria!”, group show that opens this Saturday at Jacaranda, in Villa Aymoré. Featuring works by 11 young carioca painters, including PIPA Prize nominees Gustavo Speridião and Daniel Lannes, the exhibition displays a panorama of the possibilities of painting today. Further on, also take place during the opening a documentary screening, an open talk, a book release and the launching of Jacaranda magazine #4.
