The PROA Foundation begins this year’s season with the exhibition Aire de Lyon, that talks about contemporary art experiences, incorporating material to help diagnose and debate the state of the art of reflexion. The curator of this project is Victoria Noorthoorn.
The exhibition Aire de Lyon, brings several video performances of the artist, poet and performer Lenora de Barros (nominated to PIPA 2010): Utopia (1996), Tempinhos (2008) and Uma (1993 – 1996). Lenora’s work in general, is in keeping with the tradition of Brazilian concrete poetry, exploring the relation between text and image, sound and image, while investigating the position of the individual as a subject, with its own voice in the world.
