PIPA 2013 Nominated Artists

Since the Prize’s first edition, we release the nominees names’ in daily bulletins, to highlight every nominated artist.

The bulletins were published exclusively at our website, since Monday (April 8th) always at 11am, 3pm and 7pm (GMT-3). The order in which the names were shown was not indicative of ranking and the names were randomly selected.

Today’s 7pm bulletin will be the last one of 2013, completing the list of 55 artists nominated for PIPA’s fourth edition.

The artists running for PIPA are chosen by the members of the Nominating Committee. This year, the Committee has 25 art experts. Each member nominated up to 3 artists, having in mind PIPA’s goal of rewarding artists with recent trajectory, with work already in evidence, consistent and promising.

All the names sent by the Nominating Committee are being published, but only the nominated artists that sign the Term of Participation and accomplish all the requirements of PIPA Coordination within the terms fixed, are considered Participating Artists and may run for the Prize in its three categories, and will have profile pages at our website and in the Prize’s catalog.

View below the list of artists ( in alphabetical order) that have already been announced (remembering that the last 4 names will be released today, at 7pm):
The artists whose names are underlined (indicating link) have participated on PIPA previous editions, therefore have pages on our website. Click on the name of the artist to visit his/her profile page where you can find videos, pictures and texts about him/her.
