From March 13, the Galeria Vermelho presents the installation “Escalpo Islâmico” (Islamic Scalpel) by Dora Longo Bahia at the Terrace.
A work originally created and presented on the second floor of the Pavilhão Ciccillo Matarazzo (Ibirapuera Park), during the 28th Bienal de São Paulo, in 2008, Escalpo Islâmico, by Dora Longo Bahia, uses Islamic motifs on a background of red acrylic paint to weave a commentary about violence.

Born in São Paulo, 1961 where she lives and works.
PHD in Visual Poetics at Escola de Comunicações e Artes, Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
Master in Visual Poetics at Escola de Comunicações e Artes, Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
