Group exhibition about national art and heritage on view in Rio

Ana Holck, Beto Shwafaty, Bruno Shultze, Caio Reisewitz, Camila Sposati, Daniel Murgel, Gisele Camargo, Lais Myrrha, Luiza Baldan, Mabe Bethônico, Matheus Rocha Pitta and Paulo Almeida are some of the artists who have been awarded the “Prêmio Honra ao Mérito Arte e Patrimônio 2013” [2013 Art and Heritage Prize]. The exhibition with the winners’ artworks are on view at the Paço Imperial.

The artists who are participating in the group show had their artworks selected, under the theme “art and heritage”, and received an award of 50 thousand reais. Forty Brazilian artists, with works that establish a dialogue between visual arts and cultural and artistic heritage, were selected. The Prize was conceived by Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Institute for the National Historical Artistic Heritage), the Paço Imperial Culture Centre and by the Itaú Bank.
