“Genealogias do Contemporâneo” – Collections Gilberto Chateaubriand and MAM
Curated by Luiz Camillo Osorio, PIPA Board member.
“Genealogias do Contemporâneo” is a panoramic exhibition gathering some fundamental Brazilian artists from the 1920s to 1970s. The works are divided according to their particular value and the ideas their relations enable to discuss.
The exhibition is divided in four clusters, crossing the modern poetic imaginary from a specific cultural context. They are: Brasil – visions and vertigos; Broken cities – conflicts and affections; Hybrid bodies – transiting identities; Geometric breathings.
