Group show “Singularidades/Anotações” revisits the works of 35 artists

(São Paulo, Brazil) What is different in this exhibition is it shows that “the selection of works evokes something these artists made in the recent past, but also embraces their leaps and depths, the singularities acquired along the way that enabled them to continue, consistently and relevantly with questions they chose as their own.” Berna Reale, Luiz Roque, Marcelo Moscheta, Rommulo Conceição, Sofia Borges and Tatiana Blass are some of the artists that have been awarded with the Rumos Artes Visuais programme.

Last days | “Costume”, solo show by Daniel Lannes

(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) In a manner akin to a columnist, Lannes uses humor to address the relation between image and culture: more specifically the relation between the cultural production of images and the social structure of genres, pleasure and the family. On this occasion, the painter has obsessively researched female costume designed, produced and worn from the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th. In the course of these investigations he focused mainly on dressmaking manuals and style guides of the period.
