Video-interview with Rodrigo Cunha, nominated artist

In his video-interview, Rodrigo Cunha answers Cadu’s question, “Where does life start and where does art end?”.

The artist whose mainly used media is painting, looked for ways of expressing his feelings through drawing – punk, rastafarians, capoeira fighters, were all characters that got biographies. Gradually the drawings developed into painting, due to Cunha’s university learning.

“Life and art have always been intertwined. It’s about building my identity, how I think an individual can be nowadays with these various and increasingly greater possibilities.”
