(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
“Genealogias do Contemporâneo” [“Contemporary Heritage”] is a permanent exhibition at MAM-Rio, curated by Luiz Camillo Osorio which gathers some fundamental Brazilian artworks from the 1920s to the 1970s. The works are divided according to their particular value and the ideas their relations enable to discuss.
The exhibition is divided in four clusters, crossing the modern poetic imaginary from a specific cultural context. They are: Brazil – visions and vertigos; Broken cities – conflicts and affections; Hybrid bodies – transiting identities; Geometric breathings.
