Blind auction “Art Surpraise” gathers donated works by over 80 contemporary artists

In order to celebrate 11 years in activity, Ateliê 397 will be holding tomorrow, December 6th, the blind auction “Art Surpraise”, with donated artworks by over 80 contemporary artists. It’s an opportunity to bring home renowned artists’ works or bet on new names based on quality and taste.

“Art Supraise” is a blind auction and the presented artworks have a minimum bid of R$200,00 ( two hundred Brazilian Reais). People in the audience chooses a work and places a bid for it, but the artist name is only revealed after the bidding ends. There are over 80 artists and the Atelie 397 reserves itself the right of leaving bids open for a second round. After the revealing, the artworks are immediately packed and wrapped and can be taken home.
