Curated by Bruno Miguel, the exhibition “Mais Pintura” opens tonight

(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)

The Visual Arts School of Parque Lage – EAV Parque Lage is holding from today the exhibition “Mais Pintura”, curated by Bruno Miguel and Luiz Ernesto Moraes.

The “Mais Pintura” project began in 2013, as an unfolding of the course “Practical-theorical questions of painting in modern days”, at the Visual Arts School of Parque Lage, taught by the curators. It was about presenting paintings by new artists in weekly meetings for discussions and critical analysis. A group in constant transformation and that currently has over thirty participants, of which twenty-one were selected to feature in this year’s edition. The curators sought artists who could evidence vigour, discipline and diversity in their works, representing a new painters group from Rio de Janeiro.

The participating artists are: André Andrade, Angela Od, Benjamin Rotstein, Bruno Belo, Caio Pacela, Cláudia Porto, Claudio Gabriel, Eduardo Borges, Fabiano Devide, Fernanda Leme, Gabriel Scchin, Henrique Aragão, Kakati de Paiva, Maia Bueloni, Marcos Diaas Corrêa, Mariana Corrêa, Makh Yosizawa, Paloma Ariston, Stella Margarita, Victor Mattina, Vitória Marini.
