From 15 to 19 February meet the artists appointed by the Nominating Committee

PIPA 2016 Nominating Committee members have sent their choices of artists to participate in this year’s edition of the Prize . The nominations will published 3 times a day, from 15 – 19 February. 

The 29 nominating committee members, who were invited by PIPA’s Board, are from all regions of Brazil and foreigners. They are renowed art experts who work with contemporary art, such as established artists, collectors, curators, teachers, critics and gallerists (who may not nominate artists who are represented by their galleries)

We ask each member to nominate up to three artists with a recent trajectory, known in the domestic art circuit, having in mind the relevance of the award for the development of the artist’s career. All the nominations are accepted and published.

Some of the  2016 nominating committee members have participated in previous editions of the Prize,  either as artists or as nominating committee members.
