In every edition of the Prize, the participating artists are invited to record exclusive video interviews, an opportunity for artists to voice their ideas, talk about their creative processes and careers. The video interviews are produced by Matrioska Filmes. This week, we released an interview with Guilherme Peters, who is a Pipa nominee for the first time.
Guilherme Peters
Guilherme Peters recorded the interview dressed as sans-culottes, one of the first urban guerrilla groups to emerge during the French Revolution. The artist discusses politics, history, culture and art during the interview, and explains how he brought a skateboard to his artistic practice by demonstrating parts of his works during the video.
