Interview with PIPA 2016 Nominated Artists | Meet Julia Milward

In every edition of the Prize, the participating artists are invited to record exclusive video interviews, an opportunity for artists to voice their ideas, talk about their creative processes and careers. The video interviews are produced by Matrioska Filmes. This week, we released an interview with Julia Milwardwho is a PIPA nominee for the first time

Julia Milward

Julia Milward tells that the images she captures are an idea, a projection of the artist in relation to a space: “I take pictures of things that I don’t really get to see. Because during that tiny little moment when I pressed the button, I decided that that would be my image, but I didn’t really see that moment”. She also talks about her working technique and the fact that each of her projects happens in a different way.
