Berna Reale presents solo show in Wiesbaden, Germany

(Wiesbaden, Germany)

PIPA Prize 2013 Finalist and PIPA Online 2012 Winner Berna Reale spent the year 2015 traveling to BRICS countries, which, asides from her native Brazil, also comprises Russia, India, China and South Africa. In each of them, she developed art projects on the spot, always interested in the political and social realities she experienced. The result of these journeys, “Über uns” can be seen in Kunsthaus Wiesbaden starting this Friday, February 17th, at 7 p.m.

The exhibition, which can be freely translated as “About Us”, furthers an almost two-decades long investigation on everyday violence, abuse of power, corruption and sexism, and will be on view at the Kunsthaus Wierbaden until April 16th. The solo show also presents a parallel programme, featuring a panel with Berna Reale and pastor Helmut Peters on March 12th at 12 p.m., and a guided tour of the exhibition with Art Historian Nadine Hahn on selected dates. See here for further information.
