(Campinas, Brazil) Finalist and PIPA Prize Popular Vote Exhibition Winner in 2010, Marcelo Moscheta opened this week the solo exhibition “Erosão Diferencial”. The show features eight large-format installations produced between 2011 and 2016, all the result of a confrontation of the artist with the landscape, and represents Moscheta’s return to the Museum of Contemporary Art of Campinas (MACC), where he was last in 2004.
Twice nominated to PIPA Prize, Marcelo Cidade participates in the exhibition “Monumentos, anti-monumentos y nueva escultura pública”, at Museo de Arte de Zapopan. Curated by Pablo León de la Barra, member of the PIPA Prize 2015 Award Jury, the exhibition surveys contemporary artistic practices in Mexico and Latin America that question the idea of public sculptures, monuments, and memorials, inviting viewers to rethink the issues connected with both the real and the symbolic occupation of public space.
