Last days to visit Luiz Zerbini’s exhibition “Intuitive Ratio”

(London, UK)

Known for his vivid works on canvas which range from abstract paintings to landscapes, cityscapes, and domestic scenes, Luiz Zerbini, member of PIPA’s 2011 nominee committee and also one of Brazil’s most established contemporary artists, holds the last exhibition days of his solo, “Intuitive Ratio”, at the South London Gallery, in London, UK.

Zerbini presents, besides a 35mm film and slide works, his notorious large-scale paintings. Referencing modernist architecture, contemporary culture and elements from the natural environment, his canvas works are positioned in an abstract series around a sculptural centerpiece.

The artist says that the title of his exhibition “Intuitive Ratio” “is that kind of feeling that I have that I don’t have the power, of the main control of what happens when I’m doing my work” at the same time that, for him, as a painter, his world’s perception comes through his eyes, in a very rational, or even mathematical way per se.
