Pedro Wirz exhibits three different works in Sweden, Swiss and in the USA this month

(Riehen, Sweden/ Biel, Swiss/ New York, USA)

The Kunst Raum Riehen hall, in Riehen, Sweden, has since the beginning of its actions into the art market, in 1998, encouraged diversity into eclectic forms of art, such as fashion, architecture, music and, certainly, fine arts. From the 1st of September to 28th of October, to celebrate 20 years of activity, the gallery organizes 20 years Kunst Raum Riehen – The Jubilee Exhibition” with 20 divergent artists from numeral parts of the world, including Pedro Wirz, nominated to PIPA Prize in 2016.

Alongside this exhibition, Wirz also participates from September 9th to November 11th into a collective exposition, “Zeitspuren – The Power of Now”, in Biel, Swiss, which the main subject is the passage of time in its artistic meaning. Assuming that time may be an abstract concept, 34 assembled international artists present a mix of installation, video, photography, performance and painting that instigate people to think how they deal with time structure in their daily lives. “Work and leisure, politics and power, body and representation or technology and memory” are the main themes that are discussed by the artists into four thematic areas: “time and discomfort; malleable time; time recording: staging the living; speculative and planetary time”.

Moreover, Wirz also inaugurates the solo show “Breastfed  Tadpole” at the Kai Matsumiya’s Gallery, in New York, USA after the 17th.
