Runo Lagomarsino first solo in a US museum

(Dallas, US)

Until April 14th, 2019, Runo Lagomarsino (PIPA 2014 nominee) will exhibit Concentrations 61: Runo Lagomarsino, EntreMundos, his first solo in a US museum. The exposition is part of the “Concentration” series which presents works from international emerging artists.

In this project, Lagomarsino – son of Argentinian parents descended from Italian émigrés who was born in Sweden but lives and works between Sweden and Brazil -, approaches the subject of national identities. He utilizes quotidian materials, such as stamps, dinner plates, and schoolroom maps to question cultural constructions and habits. With photographs and language, the artist evokes the migrant experience and global movements.
