Considered by some as “the biggest art week in the world”, Art Basel Miami Beach gathers the most relevant art galleries in the world and presents the innovations from design and plastic arts. This year, from December 6th to 9th, the fair receives over 200 of the world’s leading international Modern and contemporary art galleries and displays artworks by over 4,000 artists, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, film, video, and digital art.
From Brazil, Casa Triângulo takes Vânia Mignone, PIPA Prize 2013 nominee, and Edgard de Souza; Silvia Cintra + Box 4 takes Pedro Motta, and Chiara Banfi; Jaqueline Martins takes Regina Vater; Mendes Wood DM takes Rubem Valentim; Fortes D’Aloia e Gabriel takes Nuno Ramos; A Gentil Carioca takes Arjan Martins, PIPA 2018 Winner and PIPA 2018 Popular Vote Winner, Cabelo, Ernesto Neto, Jarbas Lopes, João Modé, José Bento, Laura Lima, Maria Laet, Maria Nepomuceno, Maxwell Alexandre, OPAVIVARÁ!, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Paulo Paes, Rodrigo Torres, and Vivian Caccuri, PIPA 2018 finalist.
Art Basel Miami Beach also hosts a series of conversations on topics concerning the global contemporary art scene, displays magazines from art publishers in single-magazine stands or collective booth, and tries to open numeral spaces to new artists.
