Reaching the 15th edition, “Mitos del futuro próximo” is the proposal chosen for the festival due from November 7 to March 15. The event is directed by the editor and researcher Laura Vallés Vílchez; curated by the Danish curator Mette Kjærgaard Præst, the head of the Alba Colomo Gil public program and also by the Cine por venir collective.
They all propose a methodology of folds and skins whose origin is given in the series of exquisite corpses that shape the collective drawings from the collection that houses TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes and the Isla de Tenerife Photography Center. Among almost seventy artists, Carla Zaccagnini participates in the festival.
Divided into four themes, «image», «body», «tangle» and «now». From the promise or threat of what is presented to us as alien, Myths of the near future proposes to think of the space of representation as a place from which to share worlds, obligations and reparations of our senses governed by the means of our environment.
