In the collective “Pensar é guardar” the great challenge is to think and feel this relationship between two distant cultures from place and time, Japan and Portugal. Part of the commemorative program of the 50th anniversary of the twinning of Leiria and Tokushima, Sandra Cinto participates with other nine international artists until December 31st in the exhibition.
The place here is that of production (considered in a broad sense) and also the place of keeping (which combines heritage and tradition). Time is that of collective common memory versus individual memory. From the different theoretical and artistic proposals presented, each visitor can create new perceptions and readings through gestures, colors, smells and materials that call this other place – Tokushima, Japan. The exhibition is shown in two different places: Art Gallery – Banco de Portugal and Moinho do Papel.
