Each edition, the PIPA Prize Board invites around 30 contemporary art professionals to nominate artists with a recent trajectory, but with relevance in the Brazilian art circuit. This year, our Nominating Committee is composed of 26 members, amongst collectors, curators, professors, critics, artists, and gallerists. It’s worth stressing that invited gallerists are not allowed to nominated artists represented by the organisations to which they belong. Some of this year’s Nominators have participated as artists or Nominators in previous editions of the Prize.

The PIPA Prize 2020 Nominating Committee is composed of Brazilian professionals from all over the country and foreigners from different countries. Each of them nominates up to three artists to run for the eleventh edition of the prize.

PIPA Prize values Bazilian contemporary visual artists with a recent trajectory, around 15 years, consistent production, whose works are already in evidence and known in the Brazilian contemporary art scene. We will launch the nominated artists from March 30 to April 3rd.
