Brazilian artists participate in BAphoto Live: the online version of Buenos Aires’ art fair

Until September 15, you can visit BAphoto Live, the online version of Buenos Aires’ art fair specialized in photography. There are 60 exhibiting galleries from multiple countries, including 7 Brazilian ones, and among the artists are Júlia Milward, Pedro Motta, Moisés Patrício and Letícia Lampert. The first edition in this format offers a selection of specific artworks, such as historical pieces, vintage photographs and contemporary productions.

The platform is dedicated to the promotion, dissemination and commercialization of photographs. The virtual environment was designed specially for the occasion, due to the current circumstances, in order to offer the public a selection of artworks through the participation of art galleries from multiple places and trajectories. At the same time, BAphoto Live gives access to free curatorial content with the goal of continuing to stimulate the interest for artistic production and expanding its reach to new demographics.

One of the offered contents is Open File, a series of interviews in which the artists are invited to revisit the stories of their images from an anecdote or memory linked to their personal archive. Another initiative is Live Talk, a series of conversations with local and international artists, curators, collectors, gallerists and museum directors, who will reflect on different aspects of photography and of contemporary art. The art fair also provides a CineClub: a part of the website with a selection of available movies.
