The catalogue of the eleventh edition of PIPA Prize is now available for download! It includes interviews with the finalists – Gê Viana, Maxwell Alexandre, Randolpho Lamonier and Renata Felinto – and with the winner of PIPA Online 2020, Isael Maxakali, all of them by the curator of the PIPA Institute, Luiz Camillo Osorio. The publication, which is bilingual, also presents a series of critical texts about this edition’s finalists written by Beatriz Lemos, Hélio Menezes, Júlia Rebouças and Fabiana Lopes. Beyond those, the catalogue counts with artwork pictures and information about 66 of the 72 nominated artists, as well as statistics graphics related to the Prize and images of the Institute’s new acquisitions.
The Prize’s catalogues can be downloaded for free in PDF format directly from the website. The presence of critical material and the efforts to improve and enrich the content of the publication at each edition reinforce PIPA’s mission of registering and promoting Brazilian contemporary art. The idea is to make the catalogue a progressively more relevant research source about this topic.
To download the PIPA Prize 2020 catalogue, enter the website’s homepage and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will reach “Downloads”, which is placed right beside “Statistics”. Then, all you have to do is click on the chosen catalogue. The download will begin automatically.
