From July 7th to 11th, the artist Lyz Parayzo participates in the 40th edition of ARCOmadrid, presenting the work “Bixinha Quadrada Circular” (2020) at the Remitente project. ARCOmadrid is Spain’s international contemporary art fair which, since 1982, constitutes one of the main platforms of the art market and an essential piece in the international circuit of promoting and disseminating artistic creation.
Produced in partnership with Mariano Mayer, the section Reminente will show the importance of Latin American art at the fair. The essence of the program is to facilitate and support galleries that, in this scenario, couldn’t travel to Madrid. In this way, they will have the opportunity to present pieces that don’t require transportation from the American continent. The section proposes the possibility of including artworks that are already in Spain or Europe; that can be exhibited in digital formats; that can be produced following instructions and even works taken to the fair due to the mutual support and collaboration between galleries. A total of 15 galleries participate in this unprecedented space, including the Brazilians Casa Triângulo and Luciana Brito.
