‘The past few years have forever changed our existence as humans. We have looked for ways to survive in a world that is quite different from the free and open space it once was. All of a sudden, the once global feel of our planet came crashing down and we all shrunk into our own towns, cities, and counties’, says the organization of Ciclo Internacional de Videoarte, in Lisbon, Portugal.
The video art festival, that happens between January 17 and 19, 2022, presents works by Antar Kuri, Antonia Luxem, Carrick Bell, Dier Zhang, Elizabeth Withstandley, Giselle Chan, Guilherme Peters, Itamar Gov, Luisa Callegari, Natalia Ludmilla, Pedro Inock, Sherko Abbas, Roberto Winter, Paul Moore.
In this program, they intend to create a global program to show thematic threads and rebuild connections. The works are separated into different programs to show some of the connections between the works that stretch around the world from Uruguay to Iraq, that resulted as a project, a partnership between Fábrica Do Braço de Prata (Lisbon-PT), and Prospect Art (Los Angeles-USA).
