The catalogue of the 2021 edition of PIPA Prize is now available for download! It includes interviews with the finalists – Castiel Vitorino Brasileiro, Denilson Baniwa, Ilê Sartuzi, Marcela Bonfim e Ventura Profana – by the curator of the PIPA Institute, Luiz Camillo Osorio. The publication, which is bilingual, also presents a series of critical texts about this edition’s Shortlisted artists. Beyond those, the catalogue counts with artwork pictures and information about all the participating artists, including the two winners of PIPA Online Daiara Tukano and Ruth Albernaz, as well as statistics graphics related to the Prize and images of the Institute’s new acquisitions.
To download the PIPA Prize 2021 catalogue, enter the website’s homepage and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will reach “Downloads”, which is placed right beside “Statistics”. Then, all you have to do is click on the chosen catalogue. The download will begin automatically. Or, you can click here.
The Prize’s catalogues can be downloaded for free in PDF format directly from the website. The presence of critical material and the efforts to improve and enrich the content of the publication at each edition reinforce PIPA’s mission of registering and promoting Brazilian contemporary art. The idea is to make the catalogue a progressively more relevant research source about this topic.
