(Madrid, Spain)
From January 20 to March 27, 2022, La Casa de México organizes Raíz y Rizoma, an exhibition with a selection of works by artists from the contemporary Mexican scene and with which it reflects on the processes of construction of the memory of the legacy, history and territory.
The exhibition is curated by Sofía Mariscal and includes video-performance, sculpture and textile pieces by the authors: Carlos Arias, Marilá Dardot, Arturo Hernández Alcázar, Ximena Labra, Daniela Libertad, Teresa Margolles, Fernando Palma, Óscar Santillán, María Sosa and Hector Zamora.
All of them are or Mexican creators or those who work in Mexico and through their compositions an introspection has been sought from the processes of modern art about the social, political and cultural generation of memory, analyzing the unions that occur between space and territory, as Dardot.
