Countdown: PIPA Online 2022 starts on Monday!

As in the previous editions, PIPA Online 2022 is divided in two rounds. The 1st round happens from August 1st through 07th. The voting begins at midnight (00:00) on Monday and ends at 11:59 pm on Sunday.

Only the artists who reach a minimum of 500 votes in the 1st round will be able to participate in the 2nd round, which takes place from August 15 through the 21st. Once the 1st round ends, all votes are reset and the counting starts again in the beginning of the second round.

PIPA Online remains optional for all participants of the Prize’s current edition, including the Awarded Artists. From this year’s 61 nominated artists, 59 decided to take part in PIPA Online. The voting continues to be online and in two rounds. On the first round, it is necessary to vote in, at least, three artists.

A donation of R$5.000 will be made for each of the two most voted artists at the end of the second round of voting. This virtual showcase, which seeks to be 100% democratic and decentralized, is specially relevant for the artists outside of the Rio-São Paulo area that are not represented by any gallery: through the voting, they find a way to mobilize people and, thus, to disseminate their work even more.

Warning: votes identified as coming from robot accounts won’t be validated, and will be deleted from the counting.

How to vote

It’s simple: by clicking the “vote” button on the selected artist’s page, the visitor must enter their email, to where a verification code will be sent. After copying and pasting the code into the voting window on the site, you will need to confirm a captcha (a simple security question) and then your vote is registered!

Once you have validated your email on the first vote, you do not have to redo the email verification process for the other two required votes – simply enter the page of the chosen artists and click “vote” that your vote will be automatically registered. On the second round, the voter can choose only one among the artists that received more than 500 votes on the first.
