ARCOmadrid, Spain’s International Contemporary Art Fair, holds its 43rd edition with the Caribbean at its core. The programme curated by Carla Acevedo-Yates and Sara Hermann Morera, ‘The shore, the tide, the current: an oceanic Caribbean’, will hinge on the art scenes of the lands connected by this sea.
From March 6th to 10th, the fair will again present art contents from the galleries of the General Programme, comprising the Fair’s backbone, selected by the Organising Committee, and the ‘Opening’ section, curated by Cristina Anglada and Yina Jiménez Suriel, which will present a selection of young galleries. The ‘Never the Same. Latin American Art’ section, curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy and Manuela Moscoso, will continue to strengthen the historic bond between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art.
Regarding the Brazilian participation, A Gentil Carioca presents Denilson Baniwa‘s work, Millan presents Daiara Tukano, Casa Triângulo presents Sandra Cinto and Fernanda Galvão. Fortes D’Aloia e Gabriel, Jaqueline Martins, Mendes Wood DM and other galleries will also participate in the fair.
