Born and raised in the wide open spaces of Brasília, Cecília holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and a Master’s in Visual Arts from the University of Brasilia. In her work she proposes objects and installations that promote the experience of perceptual and immeasurable phenomena. Her research is motivated by interests in light, time, and space. She explores materiality as a potential for observation on uncertain dimensions. Individually awarded with the Funarte prize for Contemporary Art 2013 and collectively in 2016, she has been in art residencies in Iceland and Canada.
