Ismael Monticelli’s works part from the sensible observation of the day-by-day life in both the domestic and the institutional environments in order to resignify its spaces, objects and materials. His work develops through various media, such as installation, photography, video and object, without restricting itself to a single technique. He has presented exhibitions in institutions such as Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo, Brazil; Museu da Imagem e do Som (MIS), São Paulo, Brazil; and Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB) Brasília, Brazil. His works integrate the collections of the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; the Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil; and the Pinacoteca Aldo Locatelli, Porto Alegre, Brazil.
