Laura Belém attended a BA at Escola de Belas Artes of UFMG, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil (1996) and a Master of Arts in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins College of Art, London, UK (2000). She was granted the Pampulha Scholarship from Museu de Arte da Pampulha, (Belo Horizonte, 2003), as well as CIFO Grants and Commissions Program from The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (Miami, 2011), and the CNI SESI Marcantonio Vilaça Visual Arts Award (Brasília, 2011). Laura works with Installation, sculpture, photography and drawing.
