Graduated in Visual Arts and Image Technology from Universidade da Amazônia, Belém, she holds a Master’s degree in Arts by Universidade Federal do Pará, also in Belém, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Visual Arts at Universidade de São Paulo. Magno works with performance, many times oriented to photography and video, object and websites. Focusing her research on the body and in performatic action, she reflects on political, social and anthropological issues, intrinsically linked to the impact of the industrial development of the Amazon region. Merging her body to the landscape and its surroundings is a recurring and determining element in her works. Her pieces have been exhibited at the Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste, Fortaleza, Brazil (2014); at Arte Pará, Museu de Arte do Estado do Pará, Belém, Brazil (2014), where she was awarded; and at the Museu de Arte do Rio de Janeiro (MAR) (2013). She was a winner in the 10th edition of the Programa Rede Nacional Funarte Artes Visuais with her project “Telefone Sem Fio”, which crossed the Brazilian territory from Oiapoque to Chuí through highways and waterways and served as foundation for the building of an audio and visual file about the cultural, historical and geographical diversity in Brazil. Her works are part of the collections of the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), the Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Rio Grande do Sul, the Museu da Universidade Federal do Pará, the Fundação Romulo Maiorana and the Associação Cultural VideoBrasil.
